Position: Inside Sales Representative
Department: Sales and Marketing
FLSA Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Compensation: $8 to $10 per hour base, plus generous commission
Description
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for direct telesales of company products to potential customers.
Responsibilities Include
- Conduct direct telemarketing activities by phone and email
- Articulate product features and benefits of a technical nature to potential customers
- Establish and maintain contact with potential customers, determine needs and close sales
- Seek out broader opportunities and pass them to appropriate internal teams
- Utilize and maintain a computerized customer, sales and prospect database
- Document and report on activities, and provide relevant information to management
- Proactively develop applicable, additional knowledge and skills as needed
- Produce weekly reports that detail open, prospective and closed sales, and account status
- Continued strong sales performance required
Requirements Include
- 2-year degree and one year telemarketing/inside sales experience -OR- three years telemarketing/inside sales experience
- Ability to prospect and close business by cold calling over the phone (prior successful track record)
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently and with a team
- Outstanding communication skills, and ability to work cooperatively and congenially with others
- Desire and ability to learn products, grasp and explain technical concepts and features
- Ability to multitask, demonstrate initiative, and respond positively in dynamic, fast paced environment
- Outstanding organizational skills, grammatical skills and attention to detail
- PC industry experience, current PC hardware/software knowledge and technical aptitude strongly preferred
- Ability to apply new sales techniques and methodologies
