Salary Range: 50,000 - 75,000 USD/year, plus a 10% signing bonus (relocation also available)

Software Engineer I/II Job Description

The Software Engineer I/II is responsible for developing and maintaining company software.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop new software tests for cutting edge hardware
• Debug complex software problems
• Maintain multi platform source code, add new features and correct defects as required
• Fix complex code problems, make major code enhancements and develop new major programs
• Independently learn new software techniques and programming languages and apply them
• Work effectively in a dynamic environment on complex projects
• Work with employees and customers to identify, anticipate and resolve issues and create specifications
• Create well-written and comprehensive documentation
• Help create and maintain multi platform technical specifications and procedure descriptions
• Other special projects and/or duties as assigned

Requirements Include

• 4-year Computer Science or related degree (or higher)
• Professional programming experience and/or extraordinary academic achievement and project experience
• Exceptional C++ and Java programming skills
• PC hardware knowledge, and ability to keep up with developments in PC hardware and firmware
• Ability to quickly learn PC-Doctor features and capabilities
• Ability to provide technical leadership to other engineers
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to work cooperatively and congenially with others

Desired Skills

• Experience with Windows or Linux system APIs
• X86 assembly programming and device driver writing experience
• Web development including XML, XSLT and PHP
• Graphical User Interface development experience

Senior Software Engineer Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining company software, providing technical leadership to Software Engineers, and designing and implementing software architectures.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on development of new software for cutting edge hardware
• Provide technical leadership to Software Engineer I and II employees
• Lead implementation of software engineering processes and methodologies
• Lead teams of programmers on a matrix management basis
• Work with Senior Software Managers and others to design and implement software architectures
• Interface with clients as a technical liaison
• Independently learn and apply new software techniques and programming languages
• Become subject matter expert in new technologies
• Create and maintain multi platform technical specifications and procedure descriptions
• Other special projects and/or duties as assigned

Requirements Include

• MS degree in Computer Science (or related), or equivalent education and experience
• More than three years of professional software development experience
• Exceptional C++ and Java programming skills
• PC hardware knowledge, and ability to keep up with developments in PC hardware and firmware
• Ability to quickly learn PC-Doctor features and capabilities
• Ability to provide technical leadership to other engineers
