Frequently Asked Question - Why is System Information reporting an odd entry for my eMMC storage device?
Why is System Information reporting an odd entry for my eMMC storage device?
In the case that System Information is showing a generic entry for your storage device, it may be due to the type of storage being used. It has been noticed with PCs that are using eMMC storage devices that PC-Doctor products are unable to determine the manufacturer of the device. For instance, if your PC has a "SanDisk DF4032" eMMC storage drive, PC-Doctor System Information will report it as "DF4032 (Internal Storage)".
We have determined that this is due to these eMMC devices reporting the manufacturer information in a way that does not correlate with standard mapping procedures, thus generalizing it as "Internal Storage".
At this time, we are unable to provide a fix for this known issue. Our hopes is that it should in no way impede your diagnosing capabilites, but will look forward to having it addressed in future releases.
