After installing Toolbox for Windows, no system information is displayed in the GUI interface. There are also limited or no devices displayed in the System Information interface. Additionally, after attempting to run diagnostics, Toolbox reports testing as “not started”.
We have become aware that some antivirus software such as McAfee Live Safe and Norton 360 can prevent Toolbox from functioning correctly resulting in the issues above.
Temporarily disable AV software and relaunch Toolbox for Windows to see if the AV software is preventing Toolbox from functioning. If Toolbox begins functioning as expected, refer to the AV developer documentation on whitelisting or excluding Toolbox for Windows from AV scans.
