Will Toolbox for Windows run in Windows Safe Mode?

Windows Safe Mode does not allow applications to be installed. This is because the Windows Installer utility used to install applications is disabled in Safe Mode. Additionally, do to the limitations of Windows Safe Mode, Toolbox cannot run in Safe Mode if it has already installed on the system. To complete the Toolbox installation process and to run the application, you will need to exit Safe Mode on your machine. Instructions on how to exit Safe Mode are listed below.


Exit Safe Mode in Windows 10: 
1. Open the "Run" window by pressing Windows+R
2. Once open, type "msconfig" in the text box next to "Open" and click "OK"
3. Select the "Boot" tab in the window that appears
4. In the "Boot Options" section, uncheck the box next to "Safe Boot" and click "OK"
